The National RV Training Academy (NRVTA) appointed Susan Rasmussen as the instructor of record for its Water Heaters and Furnaces course.

Rasmussen, a certified coach and RV technician, brings extensive experience in business strategy, marketing, and technical training, reinforcing NRVTA’s commitment to high-quality education for aspiring RV technicians.

With a career spanning corporate consulting, international business development, and career coaching, Rasmussen has worked with major companies such as Boston Scientific, Motorola, Microsoft, Boeing, and American Express.

She has trained professionals across 29 countries in branding, marketing, and business growth strategies.

Rasmussen entered the RV industry in 2021, earning certification as an RVTAA Certified RV Technician after completing training at NRVTA. She later founded Royal Flush RV, specializing in hydro-jet cleaning for black and gray tanks, and developed an online training program, Flush, to educate technicians in tank cleaning techniques.

Her combination of hands-on experience and instructional expertise enhances NRVTA’s ability to prepare students for the technical and business aspects of the RV service industry.

“We are beyond excited to have Susan Rasmussen stepping into this role,” Kelly Bradley, chief operating Officer of NRVTA, said in a press release

“She is truly one of a kind—her extensive experience, innovative teaching methods, and passion for training others will undoubtedly make a lasting impact on our students. Her unique ability to break down complex technical subjects into understandable, practical lessons is exactly what makes NRVTA stand out,” Bradley noted.

Since joining NRVTA as a teaching assistant in 2022, Rasmussen has been instrumental in helping students develop technical expertise and confidence in servicing RV systems.

Her understanding of water heater and furnace systems, combined with her business knowledge, will provide students with both the technical proficiency and entrepreneurial skills necessary for success in the industry.
