Canada’s first-ever Hard Rock Hotels property has officially opened its doors. Part of 100 Kellogg Lane—Canada’s largest indoor entertainment complex—the new Hard Rock Hotel London, Ontario is ideally situated in the city’s Old East Village. This positions the new hotel mere minutes away from the Western Fair District and a short drive from downtown.
The 164-room luxury hotel marked its grand opening with a celebration attended by property owners, community leaders and special guests, including John Rees, Senior Vice President of Hotels at Hard Rock International.
"I was so pleased to join the local team to celebrate the first-ever Canadian Hard Rock Hotel, where music, entertainment and hospitality will come together to create truly unforgettable guest experiences," said Rees. "We are proud to be able to share the iconic energy of the Hard Rock brand with guests in the region and from across the globe."
"The property will help strengthen London's economy, and its culture and tourism industries, and is perfectly positioned within Canada's only UNESCO City of Music," said Hard Rock Hotel London, Ontario’s General Manager, Brendon Ainscow. "As a Londoner, I couldn't be more proud and excited to see our city officially become home to Canada's First Hard Rock Hotel. With the addition of this hotel, London is strengthening its role as an international hub for music and culture. Our local team of over 100 employees are ready to welcome visitors from Southwestern Ontario and across the globe."
Alongside specialty suites with expansive floor-to-ceiling windows and family-friendly rooms equipped with separate bunk bed areas, the hotel also boasts lavish rockstar and terrace suites, complemented by an array of distinctive amenities.
Guests can enjoy a sleek indoor/outdoor pool equipped with an underwater sound system, cabanas, gourmet bites and craft cocktails. Culinary offerings include the Hard Rock GMT lobby bar and the innovative Sessions restaurant, where chefs put a creative spin on their dishes. There’s also a 1913-style speakeasy serving expertly crafted cocktails by skilled mixologists, featuring inventive cereal-infused drinks and classic speakeasy favorites that pay tribute to the rich history of 100 Kellogg Lane.
The property also includes a Rock Shop for exclusive merchandise and souvenirs, valet parking, and a curated collection of music memorabilia featuring pieces from Canadian legends like Shania Twain and Gord Downie.
