Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Set to Open in Lake Charles Memorial Day Weekend

A new outdoor attraction is coming to Southwest Louisiana, bringing family-friendly entertainment and accommodations to Lake Charles. 

Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park RV Resort is set to open on Saturday, May 24, just in time for Memorial Day weekend. The park aims to provide a unique outdoor experience with a range of activities and amenities tailored for visitors of all ages.

Located off Interstate 10, Jellystone Park Lake Charles is positioned as a convenient getaway for families traveling from Texas, New Orleans, and the Gulf Coast. 

According to 107 JAMZ, the resort also offers a variety of attractions, including pools, splash grounds, water slides, mini-golf, wagon rides, a floating obstacle course, and live entertainment. Guests can also participate in themed activities designed to enhance the camping experience.

“Our swimming pool project is coming along very nicely! This new resort-style pool will have a tanning ledge to relax on as well as an area for cabanas! We will have 2 swimming pools and a splash pad area for our little campers! Book now for Memorial Day Weekend and join in on the fun!” the resort said in a Facebook post.

The grand opening celebration will feature a live performance, inviting the community to explore the park’s offerings. As demand grows for outdoor recreation, the new resort seeks to position itself as a camping destination in the region.

“We are counting down the days until Memorial Day Weekend! We are ready for hay rides and activities! You can book now for Memorial Day Weekend and beyond! Please note holiday weekends are a 3-night minimum,” the park also noted.
