Wright County Parks & Recreation will open its online reservation system for the 2025 camping season on March 3, with high demand expected.
Local residents will have early access at 8 a.m., while the general public can begin booking at noon the same day.
This year, the reservation process includes a notable change, allowing campers to book a maximum of seven consecutive nights per transaction. Previously, reservations opened at 8 a.m. for all users without restrictions on length of stay.
Campsites will be available at three Wright County locations: Bertram Chain of Lakes Regional Park in Monticello, Collinwood Regional Park in Cokato, and Schroeder County Park in Annandale.
According to an article published by Monticello Times, Bertram’s campground offers 38 RV sites and six cabins, catering to a mix of recreational preferences.
Early reservations are crucial, as most sites are typically booked within the first day.
According to its website, the Bertram Chain of Lakes visitors can enjoy a wide range of amenities designed for year-round recreation. The park features boat access for water enthusiasts, fishing areas, and a designated swimming beach.
For those who prefer land-based activities, there are extensive hiking and walking trails, mountain biking paths, and cross-country skiing and snowshoeing trails during the winter months. Picnic areas, shelters, and grills are also available for gatherings, while a playground provides entertainment for families with young children.
Additional facilities enhance the park’s accessibility and comfort, including restrooms, parking areas, and meeting rooms. An RV campground also offers a convenient stay for overnight visitors looking to explore the park over multiple days.
