Walt Disney World’s Blizzard Beach Marks 30th Anniversary With Special Celebrations

Walt Disney World Resort is gearing up for a frosty and festive celebration as Blizzard Beach Water Park marks its 30th anniversary this spring. Families visiting the park can look forward to an array of limited-time experiences and special entertainment designed to keep the park’s “chilliest” celebration ever alive all month long.

Starting on its 30th anniversary April 1, Blizzard Beach will officially kick off its milestone celebration with a variety of exciting activities. Guests can enjoy live DJ performances spinning frosty beats, opportunities to meet beloved Disney characters dressed in cozy winter attire and special digital frozen-photo frames to accent super-cool memories of their aquatic fun from that day.

Throughout the rest of the Blizzard Beach season, which runs through the end of April, its anniversary celebrations continue with dance parties, games, and 30th-anniversary temporary tattoos. The park will also feature exclusive anniversary-themed merchandise, food, beverages, and “snow” much more, ensuring that visitors can revel in the festivities both in and out of the water.

Although Blizzard Beach’s celebration will wind down at the end of April, the wet-and-wild fun won’t stop there. On May 1, Walt Disney World Resort’s tropical oasis water park, Typhoon Lagoon, will reopen to supply guests with its own signature tropical-themed adventures. Created by a legendary typhoon that once struck the island, Typhoon Lagoon offers visitors a playful mix of wrecked boats, a stranded fishing pier, and plenty of opportunities for excitement and entertainment.

Guests staying at Walt Disney World Resort hotels in 2025 can also look forward to an extra perk—complimentary water park admission on the day they check in. It's the perfect way to make a splash at either Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon during their stay at the most Magical Place on Earth.
