Victory Cruise Lines will offer more than 75 shore excursions during its inaugural Great Lakes season.
Guests sailing about Victory I and Victory II will be able to participate in engaging activities in destinations like Detroit, Cleveland, Mackinac Island, and Green Bay.
“Drawing on decades of experience and tapping our long-standing local partnerships, we have curated a collection of revealing excursions and memorable experiences with great pride and passion,” says John Waggoner, founder and chairman of Victory Cruise Lines.
“From historic lighthouses and cultural landmarks to outdoor adventures and culinary journeys, a rich variety of options both inclusive and optional are designed to appeal to every inclination for discovery," Waggoner said. "We look forward to sharing the heart and soul of this special part of the world with our guests.”
Guests who book specific sailings by April 15 will receive up to $500 in shore excursion credits per stateroom. The promotion applies to Toronto to Chicago cruises departing April 26, May 14 and May 20 or Chicago to Toronto cruises departing May 5 and May 11.
Shore excursions will range from one to three hours, and will be offered at multiple times during the day. “Premium Experiences” include guided excursions at either one or multiple locations, while “Immersive Experiences” include more hands-on and adventurous activities.
For example, travelers will be able to book a guided tour of the Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation in Detroit and explore the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland. They’ll be able to take a horse-drawn carriage ride on Mackinac Island and see the historic Soo Locks in Sault Ste. Marie.
Onboard, the recently relaunched brand will also offer an educational “Lakelorian” program in partnership with the National Museum of the Great Lakes.
Victory I will be christened in Toronto on April 27, followed by Victory II in Chicago on May 12.
