Turks & Caicos set a new annual visitor total record in 2024, welcoming nearly two million travelers by both air and sea.

The country’s tourism authority, Experience Turks and Caicos, unveiled its annual tourism statistics this week, recognizing the 1.959 million arrivals last year, 1.2 million of which were cruise passengers, an increase of over 30 percent year-over-year. Turks & Caicos welcomed over 311 cruise ships at Grand Turk Cruise Center, a 19 percent increase from 2023.

Air arrivals also increased nearly 11 percent, reaching 734,000.

In 2024, it welcomed the reopening of The Palms following a renovation, the opening of the Alexandra Resort, South Bank and The Strand.

The islands also expect 2025 and 2026 to continue record-breaking growth, with the first direct flight from the U.S. to South Caicos debuting this March from Miami, operated via American Airlines.

The tourism authority also expects increasing attention with the opening of several new resorts in the next two years, including Salterra Resort & Spa, part of the Luxury Collection, which made it into TravelPulse's list of most-anticipated resorts of 2025, and the Andaz Turks & Caicos.
