Allianz Partners released this year’s Top Spring Break Destinations list for Americans this week, noting that while travelers are paying on average 14 percent more for their spring break getaways than they did last year, higher prices aren’t stopping them from enjoying their vacations.
“Even with rising costs, we continue to see Americans’ prioritizing leisure travel,” says Daniel Durazo, director of external communications at Allianz Partners USA. “We know that travelers are balancing a number of financial priorities so it's more important than ever to safeguard upcoming travel. A travel insurance policy ensures that if covered travel cancellations and interruptions, travel delays and unexpected illness or injuries come up, your hard-earned dollars can be repurposed for another trip.”
How is Spring Break 2025 Different Than Last Year?
Allianz Partners analyzed Allianz Global Assistance insurance booking information for roundtrip itineraries between February 21 and April 19 to compile this information.
This year's costs are about 14 percent higher, making the average payment for a spring break getaway about $5,325. Most travelers will remain within the United States, with 79 percent sticking to travel within the United States.
