Southwest Airlines Puts Summer Flights on Sale From $39

Southwest Airlines is encouraging travelers to book their summer travel this week, launching a three-day sale featuring fares from as low as $39 one-way and $78 roundtrip.

Available to book now through midnight PT on Thursday, April 24, the discounted seats are valid for continental U.S. travel between May 13 and October 2, 2025.

Meanwhile, international trips, travel between the continental U.S. and Hawaii and travel to and from San Juan, Puerto Rico, are valid between August 17 and October 2, 2025.

Finally, inter-island Hawaii travel is valid May 13 through July 2, 2025.

Travelers should keep in mind that continental U.S. travel is blacked out on Labor Day (September 1, 2025). What's more, the sale requires a 21-day advance purchase and discounted travel is only valid on select days of the week.

Flexible customers will net the most savings by flying mid-week on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and connecting with Southwest's dozen operating bases in cities such as Atlanta, Baltimore, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Nashville, Oakland, Orlando and Phoenix.
