Puerto Vallarta is experiencing an encouraging hotel, gastronomic and cultural renovation that reaffirms it as one of the most visited resort destinations by domestic and international travelers.
"The United States is our main market, and of course, we are ready to receive visitors from other markets such as Canada, South America or Europe looking for a friendly destination," said Michelle Fridman, Minister of Tourism of Jalisco.
For three decades, the Nayarit-Puerto Vallarta Gala has been held to promote this historic resort destination in the Mexican Pacific. Thanks to its high level of service and quality in all tourism sectors, it's managed to consolidate itself.
Recently, this event brought together 90 wholesale buyers and 60 host hotels from these two key points of the Mexican Pacific. Attendees made more than 1,500 business appointments to consolidate investments and guarantee hotel occupancy this year.
"We continue to grow in infrastructure and services, increasing investments because we know that tourists continue to choose our destination," added Fridman.

Puerto Vallarta is considered one of the world's most complete tourist destinations because it offers a menu of options for all segments, signature cuisine and luxury hospitality featuring a wide range for the LGBTQ+ community.
Its growing tourist offer has invested about $176 million in expanding the Puerto Vallarta International Airport, operated by Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico.
"Terminal 2 will allow us to double our connectivity because we expect to receive many visitors. We will be hosting the World Cup and the first edition of ITB Americas (Internationale Tourismus-Börse), so we need the right infrastructure to receive all those tourists," explained Fridman.
