MSC Cruises opened the world’s largest cruise terminal on Saturday, April 5, at PortMiami.
The MSC Miami Cruise Terminal was designed by Arquitectonica and built by Fincantieri Infrastructure. With a size of 492,678 square feet, it can process up to 36,000 passengers daily and will serve both MSC Cruises and Explora Journeys.
The cruise terminal will also be the terminal from which the new ship, MSC World America, celebrates its naming ceremony on April 9 and departs on its inaugural Caribbean sailing season.

Guests will enjoy a new, modern experience when boarding a ship through the new terminal, including the ability to check in for their cruise online or through the MSC for Me app; park their personal vehicles in a new six-level garage with advanced parking reservations; and quickly drop off their bags at drop-off points following online check-in.
The cruise terminal speeds up processing time with 18 biometric face pods and 22 E-gates to verify cruisers’ identities before embarkation.
Additionally, the 4-level terminal boasts the MSC Yacht Club private lounge for Yacht Club cruisers to enjoy waiting in a more relaxed environment.
