Kampgrounds of America (KOA) announced Phillip and Liz Mazur as the new owners of the Twin Falls/Jerome KOA Holiday in Southern Idaho’s Magic Valley. The couple brings experience in residential real estate and multifamily investing, along with a passion for outdoor hospitality and community building.
Located near Interstate 84, the Twin Falls/Jerome KOA Holiday serves as a convenient stop for travelers and a base for exploring nearby attractions such as Shoshone Falls, the Snake River Canyon, and the Perrine Bridge.
The campground also provides access to Yellowstone National Park and Craters of the Moon National Monument, making it a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts.
“Liz and I are happy to join the KOA family and welcome guests to experience all that the Magic Valley has to offer,” said Phillip Mazur. “We’re committed to providing campers with unforgettable experiences, whether they’re stopping for the night or settling in for an extended stay. From discovering Southern Idaho’s attractions to relaxing with our top-notch amenities, we take pride in upholding the Twin Falls/Jerome KOA Holiday tradition of outstanding hospitality.”
The new ownership aligns with broader trends in the camping and outdoor hospitality industry. According to KOA’s annual Camping and Outdoor Hospitality Report, the average camper spends $156 daily while traveling. With 30% of campers expressing interest in visiting small towns and another 30% drawn to food tourism, campgrounds play a role in supporting local economies.
The Twin Falls/Jerome KOA Holiday is partnering with a local tour company to offer guests experiences highlighting the region’s natural and cultural attractions.
KOA Holiday campgrounds cater to travelers looking for a mix of adventure and relaxation. Guests at the Twin Falls/Jerome KOA Holiday have access to full-service RV sites with KOA Patio® setups, deluxe cabins with full bathrooms, and a variety of on-site amenities.
“After we purchased an RV a few years ago, we developed an instant affinity for KOA camping,” said Liz Mazur. “We have stayed at many KOA campgrounds across the United States, and with each stay, we grew more interested in owning our own campground.”
“With our background in residential real estate and multifamily investing, we understood the concept of managing property for investment, and wanted to take our investment to the next level. We have a love for entertaining, hosting, and creating spaces where people can connect and make lasting memories. Owning a KOA campground allows us to combine these passions to create a welcoming environment with a trusted brand,” she added.
The campground offers amenities such as a seasonal swimming pool, a mini-golf course, a KampK9 dog park, and family-friendly activities including a mining sluice, gaga ball, and ice cream socials. The on-site store, currently undergoing renovations, is set to reopen in April with an expanded selection of groceries, beverages, souvenirs, and RV supplies.
The Twin Falls/Jerome KOA Holiday is part of the larger KOA network, which includes more than 500 locations across the United States and Canada. The brand also operates KOA Journeys, which cater to travelers seeking convenient overnight stays, and KOA Resorts, which offer additional on-site activities, dining options, and group meeting spaces.
Phillip and Liz Mazur plan to enhance the campground experience by maintaining its existing amenities while exploring opportunities for additional improvements. Their goal is to create an inviting space that reflects KOA’s commitment to quality outdoor hospitality.
The Twin Falls/Jerome KOA Holiday, located at 441 South Liberty Lane in Jerome, Idaho, remains open year-round. The new owners look forward to welcoming campers and continuing the campground’s tradition of service and hospitality.
