ITB Berlin wrapped up on Thursday, celebrating 59 years of bringing travel trade suppliers and buyers together for the world’s largest travel trade event.
Experiencing the event firsthand will leave you in awe. The massive showcase is spread out through 27 buildings, with two or three floors in each.
The 2025 version did not disappoint, with ITB showcasing 400 international travel expert speakers and 5,800 exhibitors from over 70 countries who networked with 100,000 visitors over three days.
This year’s theme was “The Power of Transition Lives Here.”
The speakers shared optimism with a positive outlook for 2025 travel and showed substantial growth numbers from last year, which has reached pre-pandemic totals once again. The top destination for Germany’s outbound travel was Spain, with the United States being the second most popular.
There was also much excitement around the announcement of ITB Americas, which will run from November 10-12, 2026, in Guadalajara, Mexico.
This will be the first of a planned annual show for the B2B travel trade professionals from North, Central and South America, as well as the Caribbean. The event will be organized by the team from Messe Berlin and is expected to be a huge success.
Members of the ITB Berlin team revealed that they are looking forward to their 60th anniversary next year and were thankful that there were no transportation strikes this year.
