Holland America Line is making some upgrades to RelaxAway, Half Moon Cay, its private island in the Bahamas.
Just in time for the line’s 2026-27 Caribbean season, the destination is debuting several enhancements, including a new beach club, waiter service and exclusive food and beverage offerings.
RelaxAway, Half Moon Cay will feature enhanced beach facilities, upgraded cabanas, villas and canopy loungers for two. Travelers can also take advantage of new shopping venues and refreshed dining locations, including new food trucks with island-only menu offerings. Crews have also refurbished the food court and Lobster Shack.
RelaxAway, Half Moon Cay also has new pickleball courts, as well as beverage delivery via Aperol Spritz tricycles or Bacardi Beach Buggies.
“The Caribbean, with its crystal-clear blue waters and sandy beaches, is the perfect destination to unwind—and we're enhancing the guest experience to ensure the most relaxing vacation possible,” says Michael Smith, senior vice president of guest experience and product development for Holland America Line. “Whether on board or at RelaxAway, Half Moon Cay, guests will feel immersed in the Caribbean's charm and the award-winning, personalized service Holland America is known for.”
Back onboard, the company is introducing a new adults-only signature pool experience on its Caribbean cruises, Located at each ship's Sea View Pool, the experience includes amenities like cold towels, cucumber water and lemonade, and sunglass cleaning. On sea days, the experience will feature live ambient music.
Holland America Line’s 2026-27 Caribbean season includes more than two dozen itineraries aboard six ships, ranging from seven to 14 days. Voyages are sailing round trip from Fort Lauderdale or Miami between October 2026 to April 2027.
The season also includes five departures offered in collaboration with The HISTORY Channel. Offered aboard Nieuw Amsterdam, the 9-day Southern Caribbean and ABC Islands itinerary includes calls at Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao and RelaxAway, Half Moon Cay. Guests can take advantage of shore excursions offered with The HISTORY Channel, too, such as “Caves & City Highlights,” which explores Curaçao's role in the Leeward Islands’ expansion.
Holland America Line is also offering more than 70 departures that are more than nine days long, perfect for travelers with extra vacation time. The company will also offer Caribbean sailings over the holidays.
