G Adventures is expanding its portfolio of itineraries to include dozens of new immersive rail journeys that will take travelers along both iconic routes and lesser-known geographic territory.

The new collection of G Adventures trips features 60 journeys across the various unique travel categories that G Adventures has become known for - including Solo-ish, Active and Geluxe. This deliberate approach to planning the new train journeys means there will be train itinerary options available for all types of travelers, whether budget-conscious or comfort-seekers or adventurers.

The train journeys will also feature spontaneous encounters and stress-free transport logistics.

“Instead of rushed airport transits and wasted time on flights that bypass local life on the ground, every rail journey is a focal point and unforgettable part of the experience,” the company said in a statement.

Traveling by train will also offer participants a glimpse of “rarely seen landscapes and villages” as well as “unexpected conversations and memories" that will come from opportunities "like sharing a cabin with locals on a night train in Vietnam.”

As the name suggests, the majority of every new G Adventures train journey is taken by rail, a mode of transport that can prove challenging to coordinate independently in some parts of the world.

Every element of these new journeys are pre-planned for the group and guided by charismatic Chief Experience Officers (CEOs).

And calling all sustainably-minded travelers: The new train journeys also benefit the planet. As G Adventures explained, by swapping flights for rail, travelers reduce their carbon footprint, and engage in a more responsible form of travel.

G Adventures new train collection also creates a more positive impact for localism particularly harder-to-reach local communities. The trains will stop off at smaller transport hubs and stations, allowing groups of travelers to buy from local sellers and take in daily life in lesser-seen parts of the country.

“Rail travel can be so much more than just a mode of transportation; it’s a gateway into responsible cultural exploration, where the journey is just as enjoyable as the destination,” Yves Marceau, vice president of product at G Adventures said.
