Fort McCoy’s Pine View Campground Offers Year-Round Cabin Rentals, Winter Recreation

Fort McCoy’s Pine View Campground continues to provide year-round cabin rental options, offering visitors an opportunity to experience the outdoors in all seasons, including winter. 

According to Alex Karis with the Fort McCoy Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation, the cabins remain a popular lodging choice for guests seeking a winter retreat.

The campground features 16 cabins available throughout the winter, catering to both military personnel and the general public. 

As part of its seasonal offerings, Pine View Campground provides a “stay and play” package, which includes four tubing passes to Whitetail Ridge Ski Area for guests who book a two-night weekend stay in a cabin.

“We have 16 cabins that are available to rent throughout the winter months along with our ‘stay and play’ package for Whitetail Ridge Ski Area, which is if you stay Friday and Saturday or Saturday and Sunday in a cabin, you will receive four tubing passes to use at Whitetail Ridge Ski Area,” Karis said, as reported by DVIDS.

Cabins vary in size, with options ranging from one-bedroom park model units with lofts to larger two-bedroom accommodations. Rental rates differ based on cabin type and guest eligibility.

Duplex cabin rates start at $100 per night for military and DOD personnel from Sunday through Thursday, increasing to $115 on weekends. The general public rate begins at $110 on weekdays and $135 on weekends. 

Rates for lakeside two-bedroom cabins range from $115 to $130 for military and DOD personnel and $140 to $155 for the general public.

The loft log cabin, another available option, has rates set at $85 to $100 for military and DOD personnel and $105 to $120 for the general public. Additionally, east side two-bedroom cabins range from $130 to $145 for military personnel and $155 to $170 for the general public.
