Mike Boylan, the founder of the nationally recognized Mike’s Weather Page, will be a featured speaker at the Florida & Alabama RV Park & Campground Association’s annual Outdoor Hospitality Convention & Expo.
The event will be held May 6–9, at the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort in Orlando.
Boylan, known for his storm-tracking website spaghettimodels.com, has built a significant following among weather watchers and emergency planners. He will bring his storm-chasing expertise and hurricane preparedness insights to campground and RV park professionals from across the Southeast.
An RVer himself, Boylan is expected to provide practical safety strategies for parks navigating the hurricane-prone summer season. His presentation will focus on severe weather response and preparation, particularly for properties in vulnerable coastal and inland areas.
“We’re incredibly excited to have Mike Boylan join us this year,” said Bobby Cornwell, president & CEO of the Florida & Alabama RV Park & Campground Association.
“Mike’s deep expertise in interpreting weather forecasting, understanding weather trends and patterns, and disaster preparedness will provide our members with invaluable information to protect their properties and guests, especially during Florida’s unpredictable hurricane season,” Cornwell added.
Boylan expressed enthusiasm about addressing this year’s attendees. “As both a passionate storm chaser and dedicated RVer, I’m thrilled to join fellow RV park professionals in Orlando. I look forward to sharing my experiences and insights that can help park operators better prepare and respond effectively when severe weather threatens their communities.”
The event is designed for RV park and campground operators focused on operational excellence and growth. Organizers say the convention will offer a range of educational sessions, networking events, and exhibitor displays tailored to the outdoor hospitality industry.
