Air France has just revealed the luxe details of its new La Première experience, which offers travelers the opportunity to fly in a spacious and fully customizable suite.
Slated to become available on a handful of Boeing 777-300ER aircraft beginning this spring, the new suites feature a range of over-the-top details and amenities including expansive window space, a two-meter-long bed and personalized service.
“The launch of our new La Première experience is a major step in our strategic roadmap,” Benjamin Smith, Air France president and CEO of Air France-KLM Group, said in a statement.
"We continue to invest in state-of-the-art products for our customers at every step of their journey, with the aim of positioning Air France at the highest level worldwide,” Smith added.
The suite follows Air France’s recently launched private ground experience at Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport.

The La Premiere Suite: Five Windows of Space
Developed over the course of three years, Air France's new La Première suite features a unique and fully adaptable design, the highlights of which include a seat and a chaise lounge that transform into a full bed.
The suite's high-tech seat also adjusts to different phases of the flight: takeoff, landing, dining, or relaxation mode. Additional details include a leather headrest and plush ergonomic padding, with each seat designed to adapt to a passenger's body for optimal comfort.
Need to get some work done while flying? There’s also a nearby console and table offering plenty of space. The table, can of course, also be used for dining.
As for the suite’s chaise lounge, it was created to allow travelers stretch out. It's meant to be ideal for reading or watching a movie. But for maximum comfort while sleeping, the chaise lounge extends seamlessly into a fully flat bed measuring two meters long and 75 centimeters wide. (A cozy blanket and large cushions are also provided.)
And still there’s more. Each suite offers a private space totaling nearly 3.5 square meters, providing 25 percent more space compared to the current cabin. The suites are also uber private: Each one can be enclosed by a thick, floor-to-ceiling curtain.
But here’s perhaps the most jaw-dropping detail: La Premiere Side suites include five windows, which is an Air France exclusive feature.
“Light plays a central role in this exceptional setting. The five windows fill the space with natural brightness, creating a serene atmosphere. They feature electric translucent or blackout shades,” said Air France.
La Premiere adjacent suites in the center of the cabin obviously won't have this feature. But they do allow for shared travel while maintaining privacy thanks to a full-height, electric sliding partition that can be activated at the touch of a button.
To create an extra sense of space, overhead compartments in the suites have been replaced with floor-level storage.
There's also a large sliding drawer designed to accommodate up to two carry-on suitcases, while a second drawer under the chaise lounge provides space for footwear. Need still more storage space? Not to worry. The suite also includes a personal compartment with a backlit mirror near the seat for personal belongings, along with an individual wardrobe.
High-Tech Suite Features
As for the technology features of the suite, there's plenty to drool over there as well. There's not one, but two 32-inch 4K screens, along with more than 1,500 hours of entertainment accessible from the seat, chaise lounge, or bed. And in case you forgot your own, noise-cancelling headphones are provided.
The suite is also equipped with 110V/220V electrical outlets, USB-A and USB-C ports, wireless charging stations, and dedicated holders for smartphones or tablets. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the journey (Naturally.)
Want to further customize your suite? That can be easily accomplished. The suite can be controlled via a wireless touchscreen tablet. With a simple touch, passengers can adjust the inclination of their seat, chaise lounge, or bed, as well as the suite's lighting and window shades. The tablet also allows easy navigation through all entertainment options.

Of course, this level of luxury in the skies isn’t available to just anyone. Air France says the suites are “Exclusively reserved for La Première guests.”
It’s especially suited for travelers seeking the ultimate in privacy, while being pampered with the finest money can buy. (Think A-list celebs and the like.)
“This cabin, located at the front of the aircraft, offers a completely private experience," according to an Air France press release. “Every detail has been meticulously designed. Only the finest materials...have been carefully selected for these new suites.”
