Exciting New Flight Routes Taking Off This April

The first three months of 2025 haven't been kind to the airline industry but as travel demand is poised to ramp up ahead of summer, carriers are expanding their route networks.

Here's a look at some of the top new flights taking off in the month ahead.

Vancouver to Manila, Philippines

Air Canada has launched new service between Vancouver International Airport (YVR) and Ninoy Aquino International Airport (MNL) in Manila, Philippines.

The new flights connecting western Canada and Asia operate four times weekly on Boeing 787-9 aircraft.

Wilmington to Nashville

Startup Avelo Airlines is connecting two of the top U.S. destinations for spring break in Wilmington, North Carolina and Nashville, Tennessee.

Starting Thursday, April 3, Avelo will operate twice-weekly service between Wilmington International Airport (ILM) and Nashville International Airport (BNA) aboard Boeing 737-800 aircraft.

Pittsburgh to Los Angeles

American Airlines is also expanding its offerings this April, offering daily flights between Pittsburgh (PIT) and Los Angeles (LAX) aboard Boeing 737-800 aircraft starting Friday, April 4.

Nashville to Memphis, Tennessee

The drive from Memphis to Nashville takes just over three hours, but Southwest Airlines is determined to cut down on that time by offering daily nonstop service between the two Tennessee cities beginning Thursday, April 10.

Bermuda to New England

Bermuda's flag carrier, BermudAir, is expanding and has begun twice-weekly service between the popular British island territory and Hartford, Connecticut in New England, flying between L.F. Wade International Airport (BDA) and Bradley International Airport (BDL).

Houston to Puerto Escondido, Mexico

United Airlines will connect its hub at Houston's George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) with once-weekly service to Puerto Escondido International Airport in the Mexican Pacific beginning Saturday, April 5.

The new service will operate aboard an Embraer E175.

New York to Huntsville, Alabama

Delta Air Lines will begin new service between New York (LGA) and Huntsville, Alabama (HSV) with six-times weekly service aboard a Bombardier CRJ 900 jet starting Monday, April 14.
