Disneyland Resort Adds New Events to 70th Anniversary Celebration

Disneyland, the Happiest Place on Earth, has released updates to its Disneyland Resort 70^th Anniversary Celebration guide, inviting guests to come and “celebrate happy.”

In December 2024, Disneyland announced the full slate of events and festivals for 2025. Since then, the resort has added new features and entertainment to include:

Celebrate Happy Theme Song

 Guests will hear this catchy, upbeat tune throughout the celebration performed by the Jonas Brothers. The song “Celebrate Happy” is available via streaming starting May 13.

 World of Color Happiness

Inspired by Walt Disney’s iconic words from the park’s opening seven decades ago, “To all who come to this happy place…welcome,” the all-new World of Color nighttime spectacular show explores ‘happy’ through a kaleidoscope of emotions, hosted by Joy and the other Emotions from the hit Pixar Animation Studios films Inside Out” and Inside Out Two.

Paint the Night Parade

The dazzling nighttime parade at Disneyland Park lights up Main Street, U.S.A. with stunning colors and lights. Mickey Mouse uses his vivid imagination to harness the power of Tinker Bell’s pixie dust and “Paint the Night” in Disney dreams, bringing to light beloved characters and stories from Pixar films such as Monsters, Inc., Cars, and Toy Story and Disney Animation films including The Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast.

Wondrous Journeys

After dark, Disneyland becomes a magnificent canvas with the return of the ‘Wondrous Journeys’ spectacle experiencing a journey filled with artistry, music storytelling and heart from stories like Hercules, The Princess and the Frog, Peter Pan, Frozen, Big Hero 6, Moana and Encanto.

Better Together Pixar Pals Celebration

This delightful daytime parade filled with music, dynamic, colorful floats and more than two dozen characters showcases heartwarming tales from Pixar films, celebrating friendship and beyond.

Tapestry of Happiness

The façade of It’s a Small World comes to life each night through light, music and projection effects as the theme creates an animated mosaic of Disney attractions, moments and memories brought to life, inspired by the work of legendary Disney artist Mary Blair.

Mickey and Friends 70^th Attire

Guests won’t want to miss a photo with Mickey, Minney and pals all dressed for the party in Town Square, Disneyland Park.

The Celebrate Happy Cavalcade

Disneyland Park debuts a new character cavalcade winding its way along the parade route celebrating seven decades of happiness.

Anniversary Décor

Throughout the resort, guests can’t miss the contemporary 50-foot sculpture inspired by Sleeping Beauty Castle located in the esplanade between Disneyland and California Adventure. Vibrant flowers and banners will decorate Main Street, U.S.A., an elegant medallion adorns Sleeping Beauty Castle and Carthay Circle Restaurant at Disney California Adventure park will be decked out in 70th colors.

New Magic on Beloved Attractions

Miguel and Dante from the Pixar film Coco, will join the other children in song in It’s a Small World Mexico section, and nods to the anniversary will appear in the Toy Story Midway Mania ride in California Adventure.
