Delta Air Lines is adding new nonstop service from Salt Lake City (SLC) to Kona, Hawaii (KOA) beginning this December, with flights available to book starting this Saturday, March 29.
Delta will fly the new service through March 28, 2026, on the Boeing 767-300ER aircraft.
The airline also plans to expand its service to other parts of Hawaii, adding flights earlier in the season to accommodate a stronger demand.
The Salt Lake City to Maui (OGG) service will start flying on October 6 four times a week. The service will expand to one flight a day in November. Two daily flights will operate on the route during the busy Christmas holiday season from December 19 through January 5, 2026.
Additionally, the airline’s Maui route from Atlanta will begin flying earlier than in years past, beginning on November 6. The route will be operated on the Airbus A330-300. The airline will also add another flight each day for the holiday peak.
Additionally, the Minneapolis to Honolulu route will operate year-round this year. From November 6 through March 28, 2026, passengers flying the route will enjoy upgraded aircraft onboard the Airbus A330-300.
“We’re excited to strengthen Delta’s network to Hawaii this winter with the addition of new and expanded service, including our new route between Salt Lake City and Kona,” said a Delta spokesperson to TravelPulse. “With a 10% increase in seats compared to last year, we’re giving customers more ways to enjoy the Hawaiian Islands during the holiday season — whether they’re returning to a favorite island or discovering a new one for the first time.”
