Members of the Campground Association for Management Professionals (C.A.M.P.) will convene on June 5 in Washington, D.C., to discuss key industry topics, including the impact of Canadian tariffs on U.S. campgrounds.
The meeting aligns with the RV Industry Association’s (RVIA) “RVs Move America Week.”
“State campground association directors are already going to be in Washington to meet with legislators during ‘RVs Move America Week.’ So it makes sense for C.A.M.P. members to meet at that time as well, and RVIA has been very welcoming,” said C.A.M.P. President Michael Moore.
The gathering will provide members with an opportunity to address the effects of Canadian tariffs on campground businesses and RV parks.
Participants will also review changes in state association member benefits following the OHI decision to transition to a direct membership model. Previously, state associations collected dues on behalf of OHI.
“Affiliated state association directors had been limited in what member benefits they could offer in the past and to what extent. But that’s no longer the case as we work together as a group and use our reach to leverage the best value possible for our members nationwide,” Moore said.
“This would include working closer with Hospitality Connections, the American Glamping Association, and other organizations. It’s a very exciting time,” he said.
The meeting will serve as a platform for campground executives to share insights on industry trends, regulatory developments, and operational challenges.
