American Cruise Lines is teaming up with “Antiques Roadshow” to offer an antiques theme cruise this summer.
Departing June 16, the voyage will follow the company’s “Maine Coast & Harbors” itinerary between Bangor and Portland, Maine. Travelers who book will have a chance to attend a taping of the popular show, meet with appraisers and participate in other antique-centric programming throughout the voyage.
American Cruise Lines has been a sponsor of PBS’ “Antiques Roadshow” for several years and offered its first antiques theme cruise in 2023 on the Mississippi River. This year, travelers will explore the coast of Maine and visit charming New England villages while sailing aboard the American Glory.
The taping event will take place at the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens in Boothbay on June 18. Guests will be able to bring up to two items to be appraised.
Then, when the ship stops in Bar Harbor on June 20, several experts from the show will come onboard to offer a behind-the-scenes look at the show.
“American Cruise Lines’ guests have a common bond with ‘Antique Roadshow’s’ millions of weekly viewers in their shared passion for American culture, and in uncovering the fascinating histories which often exist right in our own backyards,” says Charles B. Robertson, president and chief executive officer of American Cruise Lines. “We are so pleased to offer this special opportunity once again for our guests.”
