More than a spectator weekend

Plan around the people, vehicles and work behind your participation

The Southeast Adventure Vehicle Expo is built for people who do more than walk through a show. Participants bring capable vehicles, test equipment, compare builds, attend seminars, take part in optional off-road activities, exhibit products, teach skills and spend long days managing a crew, a vehicle and a campsite.

For the 2027 edition, the S.A.V.E. Expo is scheduled for February 26–28, 2027, at The Florida International Rally & Motorsport Park (The FIRM), 7266 Airport Road, Starke, Florida. The official event site describes a weekend with adventure-vehicle vendors, educational seminars, an optional off-road trail and an optional obstacle course. Always recheck the official schedule, ticket terms and camping rules before traveling.

If you are attending with a vehicle or crew, an Southeast Adventure Vehicle Expo RV rental can give you a practical place to sleep, cool down, organize equipment, prepare food and reset between activities. It is especially useful when the people participating in the event need a reliable basecamp even if the vehicle entering a course, displaying at a booth or supporting the activity is different from the RV.

Why active participants use a basecamp

An RV can help your team manage the weekend in one place

An overland expo weekend has a different rhythm from a standard vacation. You may be checking tire pressure before a course, moving between seminars, speaking with vendors, preparing a demonstration, working a booth, supporting a driver or returning to camp after a full day outside.

An RV can help your team manage that rhythm in one place.

Recover between activities

Heat, dust, noise and long walking distances add up quickly. An air-conditioned RV gives participants a place to change, cool down, hydrate and rest without leaving the event area or driving to a hotel every time someone needs a break.

Keep the crew organized

Use the RV as a central point for clothing, meals, chargers, paperwork, helmets, personal items and the next activity’s checklist. A defined basecamp reduces the chance of leaving essential equipment in the wrong vehicle or splitting the group across multiple hotel rooms.

Support early starts and late returns

Active participants do not always follow a visitor’s schedule. Course times, exhibitor setup, seminars and group arrivals can create early mornings and long days. Having beds, a kitchen and a private bathroom nearby can make the weekend more manageable for the driver, crew and family members.

Give non-driving crew members a comfortable place to reset

Not everyone in the group is on the course or working the booth. An RV provides a practical space for partners, children or support crew to rest while the participant handles the next activity.

Plan for the event’s dry-camping reality

The official 2027 camping regulations state that the venue has no electricity or water hookups. Camping is on open, grassy terrain that may be uneven, and the event recommends preparing as you would for an overlanding trip: bring your own water, food and cooking equipment. The right RV setup therefore needs a power, water, leveling and waste plan before arrival.

Plan around your participation

Build the weekend around the activity that matters most

The S.A.V.E. Expo combines several reasons to attend. Build your weekend around the activity that matters most to you.

Course participant

If you are driving or entering an optional course

The official site describes an optional off-road trail and obstacle course, with vehicle restrictions and additional fees. The FAQ recommends high clearance, off-road tires and 4×4 capability for the obstacle course; the off-road trail is described as more relaxed but still requires appropriate clearance and tires.

Use your RV as the recovery point before and after the activity. Keep the participant’s vehicle, trailer and course equipment separate from the sleeping and living space, and confirm whether any vehicle or trailer needs a specific pass or waiver. The RV is a support base—not a substitute for the vehicle requirements of the course.

Exhibitor

If you are displaying a build or working a booth

Exhibitors may need an early arrival, equipment organization, staff rest and a place to stay close to the event. The official exhibitor guidance states that vendors may camp within their designated booth space if they fit inside the assigned perimeter, and that an exhibitor overflow area for trailers, flatbeds, vehicles and RVs has no power or water.

An RV can reduce the need to coordinate separate lodging for every staff member, but booth placement, parking, generator use and camping permission must be confirmed with event management. Do not assume that a rental RV can be placed inside a booth or overflow area without prior approval.

Instructor or speaker

If you are teaching, speaking or networking

Seminars and community education are a major part of the expo. A nearby basecamp gives instructors and attendees somewhere to prepare, store materials, change clothes and decompress between sessions. Build in extra time for walking between the camping area, exhibitor area and seminar locations.

Support team

If you are supporting a group or family crew

The participant may be focused on courses, vehicles or seminars while another person handles meals, children, pets or equipment. A prepared RV creates a stable point for the whole group and makes it easier to manage different schedules without turning the weekend into repeated hotel and restaurant trips.

Participant-focused planning checklist

Gather the details that shape the setup

Before requesting an RV rental for SAVE Expo, gather the information that will affect the setup:

1

Driver, course participant, exhibitor, instructor, crew, family support or a combination.

2

Include any early arrival, booth setup or post-event departure requirement.

6

Power plan:

Whether you need the RV’s systems supported by shore power, a generator or another approved arrangement.

7

Water and waste plan:

Remember that the official venue rules currently list no water or electric hookups.

8

Site conditions:

Surface, slope, clearance, turning room, gate hours and any restriction on delivery vehicles.

9

Equipment needs:

Coolers, charging, tools, clothing storage, food preparation and recovery space.

10

Rules to recheck:

Camping location, generator hours, quiet time, pets, fires, glass containers, firearms, vehicle movement and course requirements.

Delivery and setup planning

How RV Rentals Loma del Sol can help with the logistics

RV Rentals Loma del Sol can review a rental and setup plan around your actual participation needs. Depending on the requested location and operational conditions, that may include:

  • ✓Matching the group to an RV layout with suitable sleeping capacity, kitchen and bathroom facilities.
  • ✓Reviewing whether delivery and setup are practical for the venue, an approved nearby property or another serviceable campsite.
  • ✓Coordinating the requested arrival and pickup windows.
  • ✓Checking access, turning space, surface conditions, leveling needs and utility expectations before confirming a plan.
  • ✓Helping the group think through dry-camping requirements such as power, water, food storage, cooling and waste management.
  • ✓Providing a comfortable support base for drivers, exhibitors, instructors, families and crew members.

Delivery is conditional. Delivery inside The FIRM, placement in a particular camping zone, overnight power arrangements and any onsite service are not automatic. They depend on the event’s current rules, the camping credential, the exact location, access permission, timing, RV dimensions, equipment and availability. We confirm those details before finalizing a quote.

Current camping realities

What participants should know about SAVE Expo camping

The official rules currently state that:

01

Weekend Camping Pass

On-site camping requires a Weekend Camping Pass and is pre-registration only.

02

Site assignment

Camping sites are assigned by camp hosts on a first-come basis; attendees cannot reserve a place inside the camping area for friends who arrive later.

03

Festival-style area

Festival-style camping is intended for motorcycles, tents, overland vehicles and small overland trailers.

04

Large-RV area

RVs, fifth wheels and large trailers are allowed in a separate area where generators may run 24/7.

05

No hookups

There are no electric or water hookups at the venue.

06

Uneven terrain

The ground may be uneven, so leveling blocks are recommended and digging is not permitted.

07

Generator limits

Quiet generators are allowed in festival-style camping during the day and must be off by 10:00 p.m.; participants who need overnight generator use must use the designated RV, large-trailer and fifth-wheel area.

08

Quiet and gate hours

Quiet time is listed as 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., and the gates are locked from 11:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. except for emergencies.

09

Movement onsite

Vehicles are not permitted in the exhibitor area. Mountain bikes, bicycles and scooters may be more practical for moving around the grounds.

These rules make the site different from a full-hookup campground. Confirm the latest version with the organizer and make sure your camping pass, RV dimensions and power plan fit the area assigned to you. Review the current official camping regulations before booking travel or relying on a particular setup.

Common questions

Southeast Adventure Vehicle Expo RV rental FAQ

Can I rent an RV for the Southeast Adventure Vehicle Expo without towing one myself?

Possibly. Delivery and setup depend on the exact camping location, the venue or property rules, access conditions, timing, RV dimensions and availability. Send the location and your participation details so we can review a practical plan.

Does SAVE Expo camping have electric and water hookups?

The current official camping regulations state that the venue has no electric or water hookups. Prepare for dry camping and confirm the latest rules before traveling. Your power, water, cooling and waste plan should be defined before you arrive.

Can a large RV camp at the Southeast Adventure Vehicle Expo?

The current rules allow RVs, fifth wheels and large trailers in a separate area where generators may run 24/7. Festival-style camping is limited to smaller overland vehicles and small overland trailers. Confirm the current placement rules and dimensions with the event before purchasing or requesting a setup.

Can I use an RV as a base while I participate in the obstacle course or off-road trail?

Yes, an RV can serve as a recovery and support base, but it does not replace the vehicle requirements for the optional courses. The official FAQ recommends high clearance, off-road tires and 4×4 capability for the obstacle course, and course access may require an additional fee, restriction or waiver.

Can RV Rentals Loma del Sol deliver directly inside The FIRM?

Do not assume direct venue delivery. It must be reviewed against the current event rules, your camping credential, the exact camping zone, access route, timing, surface and permission from the relevant operator. We confirm delivery feasibility before finalizing a quote.

Can exhibitors or instructors use an RV during the expo?

An RV may be a useful base for staff, materials, rest and overnight accommodation. Exhibitor camping, booth placement, overflow parking and generator use follow event-specific rules. If you are exhibiting or teaching, include your credentials, setup schedule and parking requirements in the request.

What should I bring for dry camping at SAVE Expo?

Plan for your own water, food, cooking equipment, leveling blocks, charging and power strategy. Also review generator hours, quiet time, gate hours, waste disposal, fire-pit requirements, weather and the restrictions on glass containers and vehicles in the exhibitor area.
