1 month ago 8

Vail Resorts is taking the ski school experience to the next level with the introduction of My Epic Pro for Ski and Ride School, a cutting-edge technology designed to enhance ski and snowboard lessons with seamless connectivity. Launching in the 2025/26 winter season, My Epic Pro will be available within the My Epic app for group lesson participants at Vail Mountain, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, and Keystone. This new platform will streamline direct-to-lesson digital check-ins, provide real-time lesson updates, offer skill-tracking tools, issue milestone badges, support photo sharing, and add a gamified element to guests’ progression on the slopes.

"Ski and Ride School is an essential part of unlocking a lifelong love of the sport," said Bill Rock, Mountain Division President at Vail Resorts. "Our world-class instructors play such an important role in helping guests build confidence and progress their skills, and My Epic Pro is a technology companion to that lesson experience. In one app, you can get your Pass or lift ticket, plan and track your day on the mountain, check lift line wait times, book your gear, get your questions answered in real-time—and now take your ski and ride lessons to the next level."

My Epic Pro for Ski and Ride School will provide guests with:

  • Effortless Check-In: Skip the hassle with direct-to-lesson digital check-in through My Epic Pro. Easily complete pre-lesson requirements, check-in and locate your instructor’s meeting point, all from the My Epic app on your mobile device. No more waiting in lines or filling out paperwork—just head straight to your instructor and start your day on the slopes.
  • Real-Time Connection: Receive instant lesson updates and photos throughout the session. Parents can follow their child’s journey on the mountain, seeing which runs they’ve tackled and enjoying snapshots of their progress along the way.
  • Gamified Progress Tracking: By gamifying guests’ achievements on the slopes, My Epic Pro makes skills progression more engaging through interactive skills tracking and achievement badges. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned rider, earn rewards for milestones and monitor your improvement across lessons, seasons and various Vail Resorts destinations.

"Absolutely anyone can benefit from this technology—but parents, in particular, will love it," said Greg Willis, Senior Director of Ski and Ride School at Vail Mountain. "No more standing in lines to check-in your kids, getting everyone on snow faster. And while you are out enjoying your day on-mountain, you will get photos and updates so you can keep track of how they are progressing under the guidance of our world-class instructors."

Initially available for group lessons in the 2025/26 season, Vail Resorts plans to expand My Epic Pro to additional locations in future years, as well as more lesson types, including private sessions. Further enhancements are also expected, including the ability to book, modify and cancel lessons directly in the My Epic app, in-lesson video sharing and more.

My Epic Pro is the latest in a series of digital enhancements from Vail Resorts. The company has invested nearly $2 billion in guest experience improvements over the past decade, introducing such award-winning innovations such as Mobile Pass, My Epic Gear and My Epic Assistant. These tools are all integrated into the My Epic app, making it easier than ever to plan and manage a day on the slopes.

For those looking to maximize their time on the mountain, Vail Resorts encourages skiers and snowboarders to purchase an Epic Pass, which provides 20 percent off group lessons and gear rentals. Passes for the 2025/26 season are currently available at the lowest prices of the year at epicpass.com.
