SeaWorld is making a splash with two major announcements that promise to delight visitors of all ages. The marine amusement park has partnered with the global entertainment company behind Baby Shark to bring exclusive live encounters with the beloved character to its locations in San Diego, Orlando and San Antonio. And, at SeaWorld San Diego, the highly anticipated Jewels of the Sea: The Jellyfish Experience—the largest standalone jellyfish exhibit in the U.S.—has just opened to the public.
Baby Shark Swims Into SeaWorld
In celebration of Baby Shark’s tenth anniversary, SeaWorld is partnering with The Pinkfong Company to bring exclusive character experiences to its parks, along with the debut of a brand-new animated music video. Starting April 18 at SeaWorld San Diego, the festivities will continue at SeaWorld Orlando on June 30 before making their way to SeaWorld San Antonio on September 11.
Families can expect an ocean of Baby Shark-themed fun, including interactive meet-and-greets with Baby Shark and Pinkfong, themed food and merchandise, and engaging activities designed for young fans. Additionally, guests will have the chance to win a special Baby Shark-themed getaway through a national sweepstakes.
A highlight of limited-time engagement is the new Baby Shark animated music video, premiering April 30. In this two-minute adventure, Baby Shark and Pinkfong visit SeaWorld as veterinarians, where they meet baby animals and learn about the world-class care provided by the SeaWorld Rescue Team.
The heartwarming video showcases SeaWorld’s dedication to rescuing and rehabilitating sick, injured or orphaned marine animals and releasing them back into the wild. The music video will be available in both English and Spanish on Pinkfong’s YouTube channel and SeaWorld’s social media platforms.

Jewels of the Sea: An Enchanting Jellyfish Encounter
Meanwhile, SeaWorld San Diego has unveiled Jewels of the Sea: The Jellyfish Experience, an extraordinary first-of-its-kind attraction that invites guests to explore the fascinating world of jellyfish like never before. As the largest standalone jellyfish exhibit in the United States, this mesmerizing display showcases multiple jellyfish species through more than 15 aquariums, including a massive cylindrical tank, cascading water globe and an interactive LED-lit gallery that simulates ocean currents.
Designed to educate and inspire, the exhibit takes visitors on a journey from shallow mangrove forests to the deep ocean, revealing the delicate beauty and ecological importance of jellyfish. The experience highlights their life cycle, anatomy, and conservation, reinforcing SeaWorld’s ongoing commitment to marine education and environmental awareness.
A striking feature of the exhibit is a life-sized Lion’s Mane Jellyfish sculpture created by Washed Ashore, a nonprofit focused on ocean conservation. Crafted entirely from upcycled marine debris—such as plastic bottles, foam buoys, and discarded rope—the installation serves as a powerful reminder of the impact of plastic pollution on marine life.
"We’re thrilled to introduce Jewels of the Sea, a one-of-a-kind experience where guests can witness the breathtaking beauty of jellyfish like never before.” said Tyler Carter, Park President of SeaWorld San Diego. “This exhibit not only celebrates these captivating creatures but also highlights their critical role in ocean ecosystems. The Washed Ashore sculpture amplifies the message of ocean conservation and encourages all of us to reflect on how we can help reduce ocean pollution.”
To offer even more insight into these fascinating creatures, guests can sign up for a Jelly Up-Close Tour, a behind-the-scenes experience where they can interact with jellyfish and learn about SeaWorld’s propagation and conservation programs.
