Savannah Lakes RV Resort in Hardeeville, South Carolina, will host an Adopt-A-Thon on March 13, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., partnering with local animal rescue organizations to connect adoptable pets with new families.
The event will feature animals from Raskel’s Rescue and Jasper Animal Rescue Mission, providing an opportunity for visitors to meet dogs and cats in need of homes.
“We’re excited to host an event that brings the community together in support of animal adoption,” said Carolee Evans, general manager at Savannah Lakes RV Resort. “So many wonderful pets are waiting for their forever homes, and we’re proud to work alongside these incredible organizations to help them find loving families.”
The Adopt-A-Thon will offer more than just pet adoptions. Attendees can engage with volunteers to learn about local animal welfare efforts and explore ways to support rescue initiatives beyond adoption.
Visitors will also have access to a selection of food and beverage vendors, including Lawyer’s BBQ and Sweets, Palmetto Pops Food Truck, Low Country Taps, Palmetto Pastries, and Lemonade Apothecary. These vendors will provide refreshments throughout the afternoon.
In addition to food options, several pet-focused vendors will be present, such as Diddybiteya Home Made Dog Treats, Pet Wants, and Well Pet Mobile Vet. These businesses will offer specialty pet products and veterinary services to attendees.
The event underscores Savannah Lakes RV Resort’s commitment to fostering a sense of community by supporting local organizations. The event welcomes both those looking to adopt and visitors who simply want to learn more about pet adoption and animal welfare.
