At the recent Trevello conference in Jamaica, Adam Stewart, the Executive Chairman of Sandals Resorts International (SRI), announced that a new Beaches Resort is coming to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
This resort will be an all-inclusive family-friendly property and will be SRI’s second resort in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. The first was Sandals Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, which opened in 2024.
SRI currently has three family-oriented Beaches Resorts across the Caribbean: Beaches Negril and Beaches Ocho Rios in Jamaica, and Beaches Turks and Caicos in the Turks and Caicos Islands.
“We’re going to continue to build our company into what we call Sandals-Beaches 2.0,” Stewart said at the conference, held at the Hyatt Ziva and Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall.
The expansion project for Beaches involves almost $1 billion being invested in the brand by SRI. Later this year, ground is expected to be broken on the 600-room Beaches Barbados, which has the subject of much speculation. Beaches Barbados will feature a “Main Street” area that will include dining and shopping outlets as well as what the company calls “high-energy family zones,” with outdoor performance stages, a sports bar, and an arcade.
Other expansion projects include construction of Beaches Runaway Bay in Jamaica and the conversion of Sandals Emerald Bay in the Bahamas into a resort that will be rechristened as Beaches Exuma.
