Patrick Industries, Inc. has completed its acquisition of Medallion Instrumentation Systems, LLC, a move that expands its capabilities in vehicle electronics and instrumentation for the RV, marine, and powersports industries

Based in Spring Lake, Michigan, Medallion provides customized solutions, including digital switching, lighting controls, sensor products, and touchscreen displays. The company generated approximately $38 million in revenue in 2024.

The acquisition aligns with Patrick Industries’ strategy of enhancing its portfolio with technology-driven solutions tailored to outdoor recreation markets.

As digital interfaces become more prevalent in RVs and other outdoor vehicles, this addition strengthens Patrick’s ability to deliver integrated technology systems.

Andy Nemeth, CEO of Patrick Industries, emphasized the strategic value of the acquisition in a press release

“With the growing customer preference towards digital switching, custom LCD displays, gauges and controllers in the outdoor enthusiast space, this acquisition purposefully connects our complement of existing product offerings into a complete technology solution that can be customized to our customer’s vision and needs,” Nemeth said.

He noted that Medallion’s expertise in engineering and design would enhance Patrick’s ability to provide full-system solutions to its customers.

For businesses in the RV and outdoor hospitality sectors, this acquisition highlights the increasing demand for advanced vehicle electronics.

As manufacturers look to integrate more digital features into their products, suppliers with expertise in smart technology are becoming key players in the industry’s evolution.

The trend suggests that operators who invest in modernized vehicle control systems could gain a competitive edge by offering consumers enhanced convenience and connectivity.

Jeff Sands, CEO of Medallion, sees the acquisition as an opportunity for expansion.

“We believe Patrick’s deep experience, capabilities and resources open up significant opportunities to grow our business in both our existing end markets and in those in which we are currently underpenetrated,” he said.

As with Patrick’s previous acquisitions, Medallion will continue operating under its existing brand name and from its current facility.
