Early-access bookings are now open for National Geographic-Lindblad Expeditions’ newly announced river cruises.

Past guests of National Geographic-Lindblad Expeditions can now make reservations for two new eight-day itineraries scheduled to set sail  on the Rhine starting in April 2026. Bookings for members of the public open May 20.

The voyages will be offered aboard the new 120-guest ship, Connect. National Geographic-Lindblad Expeditions is chartering the vessel, which was built in 2026, from Transcend Cruises.

“These new itineraries are crafted with the same pioneering spirit that defines our expeditions around the world, delivering deeply immersive, authentic, and all-inclusive experiences of these destinations,” says Natalya Leahy, chief executive officer of Lindblad Expeditions. “Guided by veteran expedition leaders and National Geographic experts, enriched by exclusive experiences ashore and aboard a brand-new, state-of-the-art river vessel, these voyages are proof that 'how you see it matters.’”

The “Castles, Culture and Culinary Delights” itinerary includes scenic sailing through the Rhine Gorge, private wine tastings and various tours. Stops include Mainz, Frankfurt, Heidelberg, Strasbourg and Colmar.

The “Medieval History and Scenic Waterways” will sail along the Rhine and other waterways in Holland and Belgium.

Guests will be able to visit historic cities such as Antwerp and Delf, explore the seven million tulips, daffodils and hyacinths at Keukenhof, enjoy after-hours tours at the Kröller-Müller and Mauritshuis Museums and more.
