Horizon Outdoor Hospitality announced the launch of two specialized brands—Ascend and Terrain—designed to meet the varied needs of RV resort, campground, and outdoor lodging operators.
The expansion, unveiled April 2, marks a strategic move to offer both full-service management and targeted professional support under a unified umbrella.
Founded in 2004 and based in Colorado, Horizon has provided third-party management and consulting services to outdoor hospitality properties for over two decades.
With this latest development, the company now offers a tiered service model that allows clients to choose between comprehensive management and customized consulting.
Ascend continues Horizon’s legacy of hands-on, full-service property management. The brand currently oversees a portfolio of nearly 30 properties, each selected based on alignment with Horizon’s standards and long-term potential.
“We’ve seen the outdoor hospitality industry evolve significantly over the past two decades—and we’ve innovated alongside it,” said Scott Foos, managing partner, hospitality & strategy at Horizon.
“Not every owner is ready to bring on a third-party manager, but many need targeted, integrated support to stay competitive,” Foos explained.
Terrain, Horizon’s newly introduced professional services brand, is built for operators who wish to retain full control over daily operations while receiving strategic and operational guidance. Terrain offers expert support in areas such as revenue management, marketing, accounting, and systems implementation. The brand currently serves more than 30 clients seeking growth without giving up autonomy.
“Terrain is the natural next step,” said Lindsey Foos, managing partner, finance & corporate operations at Horizon. “We’ve been supporting non-managed clients with professional accounting and consulting for years, and Terrain lets us bring that same level of integration and execution to a wider audience.”
Terrain builds on Horizon’s nearly decade-long experience in offering accounting services to non-managed properties and its in-house marketing agency, launched five years ago. That division, led by a former agency owner and brand strategist, provides full-service marketing to both managed and independent clients.
“This is the next chapter in how we serve the industry,” Scott Foos said. “With Ascend and Terrain, we’re building on what’s worked for over 20 years—expanding how we support owners while staying true to our core mission: helping outdoor hospitality businesses grow stronger, run smarter, and deliver unforgettable guest experiences.”
