Hideaway Wood Farm Embraces Wellness and Sustainability for 2025 Season

Hideaway Wood Farm in Northamptonshire is preparing for its third season, continuing to expand its offerings with wellness retreats, nature-based activities, and an emphasis on sustainability.

Since launching in 2022, the site has attracted visitors with its unique experiences, including alpaca yoga and bushcraft sessions, while also incorporating conservation efforts such as the planting of more than 8,000 trees and shrubs over three years.

This year, the farm is introducing its own retreats, including a family weekend and a tech-free weekend designed to encourage guests to disconnect from devices and engage with nature.

Co-founder Amy Saunders highlighted the positive impact of these experiences, particularly for families.

“People tell us we’ve helped them reconnect with their kids away from screens and we’ve made a difference,” she said in a report by Northampton Chronicle.

Supported by National Lottery funding, Hideaway Wood Farm is also offering separate wellness groups for men and women.

These sessions provide attendees with a space for self-reflection and conversation, complementing other mindfulness activities such as meditation and yoga sessions featuring the farm’s resident alpacas.

Amy Saunders, who recently completed a two-day course on “care farming”—the use of agricultural spaces for therapeutic purposes—expressed interest in further integrating these principles into the business.

For outdoor hospitality operators, Hideaway Wood Farm’s evolving model reflects a growing trend in the industry—offering immersive, wellness-focused experiences alongside traditional camping and glamping

As travelers increasingly seek destinations that provide more than just accommodation, businesses in this sector may find value in incorporating nature-based therapy, digital detox programs, and conservation initiatives to attract a broader demographic.

With Hideaway Wood Farm continuing to refine its approach, it demonstrates how outdoor hospitality businesses can diversify their offerings, enhance guest engagement, and align with the rising demand for meaningful, experience-driven stays.

“When you read a lovely review, you know you’ve given someone a unique experience,” Saunders noted.
