Carnival Miracle is back on the water after getting a makeover.

The 2,670-guest ship recently emerged from an “extensive” dry dock in Cadiz, Spain, according to Carnival Cruise Line. On Sunday, the newly refreshed ship welcomed its first guests in Lisbon, Portugal, as it kicked off the cruise line’s summer season in Europe.

The ship has several new venues and enhancements, including the Heroes Tribute Bar & Lounge, a gathering place for active-duty military and veterans. It’s now available on 15 of Carnival’s vessels.

Crews also added a Carnival Adventures store, where guests can book and book shore excursions. They expanded the casino, revamped the Camp Ocean youth area and teens club and remodeled the mini-golf area and nightclub.

Crews also refreshed several public spaces, including Cloud 9 Spa, Serenity adult-only retreat, Club 02, Java Blue coffee shop and Lido marketplace.

The ship also got a dedicated Chef’s Table venue deck one, as well as a new Dreams Studio for professional photo moments.

Carnival Miracle is currently sailing a 7-day itinerary with stops in La Coruña and Bilbao, Spain; and Le Verdon (Bordeaux) and Le Havre (Paris), France. From there, the vessel will head to Dover (London), England, where it will begin sailing to the British Isles, Scandinavia, the Baltic and Northern Europe.

Later this summer, Carnival Miracle will reposition to Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy, for cruises to destinations in Italy, France, Spain, Portugal, Greece and Turkey. In November, the ship will sail across the Atlantic and homeport in Tampa, Florida. From there, it will sail to The Bahamas and the Caribbean.
