Azure Printed Homes, a company in outdoor hospitality, will complete its third year in business and its third round of funding on April 30, as the company continues to expand its footprint in the modular and prefab housing sector.

Based in Los Angeles, the 3D-printed housing manufacturer has raised $6 million to date and currently holds $35 million in pre-orders.

Founded in March 2022 as an extension of Azure Construction, the company positioned itself as a leader in sustainable, factory-built housing.

Its proprietary printing method reportedly delivers homes 70% faster and 30% cheaper than conventional construction, according to Co-founder Gene Eidelman.

Azure operates a primary manufacturing facility in Los Angeles and plans to open a second site in Denver, Colorado, later this year.

The L.A. factory is currently undergoing expansion to meet increasing demand, especially following recent wildfires in the region.

“We are a U.S. manufacturer that is immune to tariffs and are scaling as fast as possible to address the current needs,” Eidelman said in a press release. “Additionally, we are the only modular manufacturer based in L.A., which is making us an ideal resource to assist in rebuilding at scale following the recent LA Fires.”

The company has completed more than 100 homes to date, including accessory dwelling units (ADUs), studios, and tiny homes. These units are frequently deployed as transitional housing in efforts to combat homelessness in Los Angeles and other urban centers.

Azure’s models are also finding increasing traction within the outdoor hospitality sector. The company has supplied units to glamping and resort-style developments in California, Georgia, Arkansas, Tennessee, and Texas.

Eidelman said Azure’s long-term vision is to manufacture 2,500 homes per year by 2030.
